I closed down my +SmugMug site for +Zenfolio . +Zenfolio has many features to offer, such as the blog, page layout, guestbook, mobile logo, client access page, and integration with other websites. You can also point +Zenfolio to another website or blog. I also like their social networking integration. It's really compatible with most of the ones we all use like +Google+ , #Facebook, #Twitter, and #Pinterest .
Initially, I was on the fence about switching, but with the free 14 day free trial I learned more and more each day about what +Zenfolio could do. One of the main things I thought I would miss out on was the ability to sell prints. But +Zenfolio has that feature also, in addition to many more vendor options.
The photo uploads seem faster, but that could just be my imagination. From my research, the versatility of Zenfolio outweighs most of the competition. I checked out +PhotoBiz , +PhotoShelter , +Photocrati , +WordPress , +22Slides and a few other photo host. But none of them could compare to +Zenfolio . The price is fair and the features are incomparable.
One of the things I didn't like about +SmugMug was that if you don't know a little coding it's hard to make your site look different from all others. With +Zenfolio I can add gallery pages or just regular web pages. With +SmugMug I couldn't do that, also with +Zenfolio I can make each page look different.
There's also the option to use plug ins, you can add photos straight from +Adobe Photoshop Lightroom , #Aperture, iphoto, eyefi cards and windows live photo gallery just to name a few. I know you can do this with SmugMug but you only have a few options.
So this is my option for photo hosting. I think if you do the same research I did you will find that +Zenfolio is by far the best. Check out my website here I'm still in the building process.
